Workforce Development | Pre Employment Training

What Is Workforce Development?

Workforce development is a program that helps people get ready for work and find good jobs. It teaches skills, offers support, and connects people with employers who are hiring.

This program is part of TANFTemporary Assistance for Needy Families. TANF is funded by the federal government and helps low-income families by offering training, job support, and other services.

How Does It Help You?

TIA offers a comprehensive Workforce Development Initiative aimed at empowering individuals with the skills and support needed for employment and career advancement. Key components include:

  • Workshops: A 5-week program focusing on building self-esteem, job search strategies, and workplace readiness.

  • Case Management: Personalized support to help participants navigate employment challenges.

  • Job Placement: Assistance in securing employment opportunities.

Why Is This Good for Our Community?

When more people have jobs, everyone benefits:

  • Families can pay bills, buy food, and take care of their children.

  • Kids grow up in safer, more stable homes.

  • People feel proud and confident in themselves.

  • Our neighborhoods become stronger and more connected.
