The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program is a federally funded initiative that supports the creation of academic and enrichment programs during non-school hours for students—especially those attending high-poverty, low-performing schools.

Under Title IV, Part B of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (as amended by ESSA in 2015), 21st CCLC programs aim to help students meet academic standards and provide families with literacy and educational support.

📘 What the Program Offers

  • Academic Enrichment: Tutoring and support in core subjects like reading and math

  • Enrichment Activities: Youth development, arts, STEM, physical wellness, technology, financial literacy, career exploration, and more

  • Family Engagement: Programs that support parent involvement and adult education

These centers serve as safe, engaging spaces that extend learning beyond the school day and foster strong school-family-community connections.
