The Saint Paul’s Child Development Center, operated by The Improvement Association,
is the only licensed “full day” Child Care facility in Brunswick County that prepares students physically, mentally, and socially for school. The center provides affordable, high-quality services to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children before and after school, between the ages of 16 months - 12 years old. The program enables parents to secure gainful employment while their children develop school readiness skills. Additionally, it provides parents with the opportunity to pursue post-secondary education. Our program supports working families in Brunswick County by providing a safe, nurturing space where children can thrive outside of regular school hours. At Saint Paul’s Child Development Center, we believe that children learn and grow through play and hands-on experiences; each child is an individual and will develop at his or her own rate. Our program is designed to encourage a child’s natural curiosity through exploration of a variety of materials and experiences. We believe that children learn best in an environment where love is freely given and respect is shown for children, the childcare providers, and the parents. With nearly three decades of experience in early childhood education at this very site, Trina Reavis leads the Saint Paul’s Child Development Center with deep roots and unwavering commitment. Having started her journey here in 1995 under Saint Paul’s College and continuing through its transition to The Improvement Association in 2014, Trina has helped shape a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for children ages 2 months to 12 years.
The center plays a critical role in supporting local families by providing affordable child care that fosters school readiness while empowering parents to pursue employment or education. Recent improvements, such as the addition of an on-site cafeteria, further enhance the experience for children and families. At its core, Saint Paul’s Child Development Center is built on the belief that children learn best in a loving, respectful environment that honors their natural curiosity and development.
