Aministrative Assistant

The Improvement Association is hiring an Administrative Assistant for the Emporia Office. We are looking for a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties include greeting visitors, answering the phone, scheduling and coordinating transportation, staff meetings, collating and distributing mail, preparing communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence, writing and editing documents from letters to reports and instructional documents, creating and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and physical, and managing inventory of incoming supplies. Must pass a background check.

VHSP/Community Service Coordinator

The Improvement Association is hiring a VHSP/Community Service Coordinator for the Emporia Office. We are looking for a responsible candidate to perform a variety of administrative tasks including coordinating The Improvement Association’s VHSP/CSBG program activities in accordance with the funding source(s) guidelines to ensure that all service areas receive community resources to promote the Association’s self-sufficiency efforts.

The VHSP/ Community Service Coordinator is responsible for providing case management and intakes in order to assist families participating in our organization’s services and/or who are at-risk of homelessness in identifying appropriate housing opportunities. The VHSP/Community Services Coordinator provides training to customers in regards to different housing opportunities, budgeting, maintaining a household, and leveraging supportive services that will assist the participant household to maintain or obtain permanent housing and other duties that are deemed necessary.
